The drive symbol no longer showed on my desktop.
The white LED light stayed on, but nothing more. Whenever I plugged it into my laptop, I heard the drive purring as if it was going to start up, and then after approximately 5 seconds, it silenced. A few days ago, I was transferring files, suddenly I got the notification that my G-Drive wasn’t ejected properly, but I didn’t even unplug it (I was in the middle of transferring files).
I use it as a USB for my 2015 MacBook Air. I bought the G-Drive mobile USB-C portable hard drive approximately a year ago.
